New website launched to encourage City of London residents to get active
If you have problems with your health, or you've had them in the past, it can be hard to stay active.
Walking is a low impact exersice, making it a good activity for everyone to get involved - even when you're not feeling your best.
Walking for Health Short Walks take place on the first, second and third Thursday of each month at 11am.
These thirty-minute short works are available for people with a medical condition which could prevent them taking part in longer walks.
Five benefits of walking for thirty minutes a day
- reduces risk of heart disease, diabetes and improves blood pressure
- helps to maintain weight
- positive effects on your mood and mental health, such as reducing stress and anxiety
- increase to your energy levels
- improvements to your quality of sleep
Take part in the next walk
