New board appointments

We are very pleased to announce the appointment of a new Chair, Gail Beer. 

Gail, previously a Healthwatch City of London board director and interim chair, said she was 'delighted' to be offered the opportunity to lead the board for the next three years

'Our ambition as a board is to reinvigorate our Healthwatch, making it more inclusive, offering those who live and work here a greater and more powerful voice in shaping the services on offer and those we need,' she said.

'By working with our partners we aim to ensure that local people are listened to where ever they live or work and feel they will have every opportunity to contribute on issues they care about and that matter to them.'

We also welcome Veran Patel as a new board member.

Veran said: ‘I am really pleased to have the opportunity to be part of a team representing the residents of the City. I would like to help encourage closer working relationships between the disparate services that are currently available.’
